Make the Call for
Polar Bears

Will Congress act to help polar bears and other wildlife struggling in a warming world?

Write your U.S. representative today and urge support for the American Clean Energy and Security Act — the first important step to address global warming.

Help Save Polar Bears and Other Wildlife — Act Now!

As soon as tomorrow, Congress could take an important first step in addressing climate change — lending a 24326much-needed hand to polar bears and other wildlife that are already feeling the heat.

But Big Coal and other powerful polluters are sending their highly paid lobbyists to Capitol Hill to derail efforts to help polar bears and other wildlife survive in a warming world and defeat our best chance to address the threat of global warming.

Important: This historic vote is scheduled for TOMORROW (Friday) and we need all the help we can get to pass this critical legislation.

Write your representative today and urge support for the American Clean Energy & Security Act sponsored by Reps. Waxman and Markey (H.R. 2454).

The House of Representatives will most likely vote TOMORROW (Friday) on the American Clean Energy & Security Act — the first comprehensive bill to address global warming to come to a House vote.

This important legislation will help reduce greenhouse gas emissions that are warming our world AND will take vital steps to protect our wildlife and wild places that are already threatened by climate change.

We can’t let the big polluters derail such an critical bill to our planet and our wildlife.

Urge your representative to support the American Clean Energy & Security Act — vital legislation to address global warming and protect our wildlife and wild places.

Global warming is one of the greatest and most urgent threats facing our wildlife. According to the new White House report “Global Climate Change Impacts in the United States,” our wildlife is already affected.

Polar bears and ring seals are rapidly losing vital sea ice habitat. Rising temperatures are killing coral reefs and devastating entire sea life communities that depend on them. Increased fires, insect pests, disease and invasive weeds are already affecting 33 million acres of our forests. Our deserts are becoming hotter and drier.

Without urgent action, things will get even worse.

Please take action today and urge your representative to support this historic bill.
